Tips and Tricks: Don’t miss a trick

We spend a lot of time with our wikis. It’s something of an occupational hazard. So it makes sense that we’ve figured out a few techniques and shortcuts to make our work easier and better. Once a month, we like to share some of those tricks we’ve learned with you. Or just turn you on to some features that we think are cool and you might not have thought about using yet.

But if you’re not specifically looking for a way to do some exact, specific thing, there’s a chance you might not catch one of these posts. And we’d hate for you to miss an opportunity for a better Wiki Experience. To that end, this month we’re giving you a quick rundown of past tips & tricks and new feature posts.

Think of this as a checklist. What haven’t you tried?

    Dear Wikispaces-Team,

I want to use the opportunity to congratulate you to your brillant work – the excellent framework you created is realy easy to use and results in lovely wiki environments.

After two years of intensive use, today for the first time I missed one “comfort function” – the ability to generate a pdf print of a page by pressing a “botton” (link) on the page (as offered by wikipedia)… maybe this could be an interesting option for a prospective add-on.

    Best regards and good luck,
    Dirk Fox

Oh, I’m sorry, you already did it – I just found the option in the “page”-menu…
    Best regards,
    Dirk

I set up my Oral History wiki in 2009 and so far have two complete oral history projects loaded on. The changes you have made since I first started working with wikis are fantastic. Loading on oral history sound recordings and digital stories takes less than a minute and they look professional. I also love being able to cut and paste text from word to make my pages look more interesting. Thank you so much for all the developments and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.
    Kind Regards,
    Carolx
