Bulk Page and File Management

You asked for ways to delete your old files before the new school year begins or to lock those 50 pages before you invite your colleagues on board, and we listened.

Our new bulk management tool makes it even easier to manage your files and pages – without the tedium of administering pages and files one at a time.

What bulk management options do I have?
As an organizer of your wiki, you can now:

How does bulk management make my life easier?
We are all busy. Bulk management lets you spend less time managing your wiki so you have more time for family, friends, or even uploading those company reports to your wiki. Just a few clicks and you’ve removed all your unwanted pages and documents.

To use these bulk administration features, go to your wiki, “Manage Wiki,” and then to either your “Pages” or “Files” page.

Let us know what you think with an e-mail to help@wikispaces.com.

Thanks for the updates. The file manager really needs an orphaned file tab… BADLY. With very large wikis it is basically impossible to find the useless files. PLEASE add the this feature… I have been asking for several years…. PLEASE!

This is really helpful… thanks WS-folks! Since teachers often re-use the basic structure of a site from one semester to the next, a “bulk rollback” feature would be really useful too. With this tool, the teacher could reset the site to a specific date (e.g. its beginning-of-the-semester-factory-fresh state) for each new group of students.

It would be good if organizers could change the passwords of all members (that they created) all at once. In other words, as a teacher, I’d like to have the ability to change my students passwords all at once.

I wish there was a way to put whole folders on at a time.

    Each page has a history.
It would be good valuable to be able to clear all pages form a given page’s history
    1. Except the latest
    2. Except that of a current date
    3. Before a certain date
    4. After a certain date

This unfortunately still does not allow me to delete multiple discussion pages at a time. Why are discussion tabs different?

    Hi Mandy,

Deleting the entire page will delete all discussions on it. At this time there is no way to bulk delete discussions posts or topics. Can you let us know a bit about why you want to bulk delete discussions at help@wikispaces.com ?

    Hi Salah,

Thanks for your feedback. This feature is not currently available but if you need to change passwords in bulk, you can email us at help@wikispaces.com from the email address you used to create the accounts and we can do it for you.
