Chris Bell Presents on His School’s Wikispaces Private Label Site
January 30th, 2009 by Sarah
Join us for our next education webinar on February 4th at 5pm PST. During the first half, we will show you how to begin an educational wiki in your classroom, create accounts for your students, and build your wiki.
Chris Bell, the Technology Project Manager at the Julian Charter School, will then present on his school’s Wikispaces Private Label site. He and his colleagues have been using wikis for several years in their classrooms. You’ll see examples of projects in the school and see how the teachers have used different Wikispaces features to support and enrich their online classrooms.
If you want to learn some wiki basics or are looking for how other educators are using Wikispaces, join us for the event. You can register at http://wikispacesineducation0902-1.eventbrite.com. We hope to see you there.
Update: We accidentally did not record the Elluminate session for this event. However, if you would like the full chat conversation, you can find it here. Our apologies for not having a recording available for this event. We do have an upcoming education webinar that you can come to on March 4th at 5pm PST which we plan to record.

This sounds interesting and seems very helpful in expanding educational tools for students. The features on Wikispaces will help students and teachers as well.
This webinar filled up really fast. Any chance of offering another one or taping this one so we can see it. Thanks, Meg
Meg,
We will have a webinar each month in which we feature another educator.
We will also post a link to the webinar on our blog at http://blog.wikispaces.com .
Best,
Sarah
Sorry I missed the Chris Bell Presents on His School’s Wikispaces – would like to learn how to use a wiki space with the children in my school. Any chance this webinar will be available elsewhere or on another date? Thanks.
I agree with Meg… it filled up way too fast! Feel free to feature more educators, more often!
Sarah and all,
Thanks also to Chris for the webinar yesterday. Indeed interesting and inspiring. You said there would be a recording of the full session available here at the blog – looking forward to that.
I had a question which is not about wikispaces, but the Elluminate Live; is it possible for a user _locally_ to record a session and save it as a video file?
Kind regards
Claus (EMU.dk, Danish educational portal)
Hi, Sarah
I’m eager to watch the recording of the Feb. 4 webinar; is the link available somewhere?
Thanks in advance!
