Jeff Says Hello

Hello all, I’m the most recent addition to the Wikispaces
Software Engineering team, and I’m enjoying myself thoroughly. There’s
some great technology here, and I look forward to making it even
better. I grew up in the Seattle area, and I’m a University of
Washington alumnus. More recently, I worked at Google for a couple
years and then took some time off and traveled through Australia, New
Zealand, and Hawaii.

Also, my first feature has recently been released, so stay tuned for a blog post about it.

    The Wikispaces team and I met though a mutual friend. They were (and are) hiring. Check out http://wikispaces.com/s/jobs.html .

    Jeff, I’m going out of my mind trying to edit the layout of my page. The results keep changing and I can’t get the look I want. Nothing behaves like I would expect it to, and everything keeps changing. I hope you are here to improve the results of the WYSIWYG editor.

    Hi Jeff,
    Your traveling sounds exciting.
    Question: I just joined a wiki - needed to do this for a class (I joined a classmate’s team).
    Do I have to use the same e-mail when I create my own wiki or may I use a different e-mail and password?

    Thanks!!! this is all new to me…. I am excited about learning and using the information in my school.

    Jeff,

    I am a high school English teacher, and I have created one wikispace- which is a stretch for me! I would like to create another or several more different units in my classes. Is there a way to copy some of my information from one space to the others?

    Thanks,

    Lynnette

    @Alba:
    you can create a new account with a different username/email/password, or you can change your current account’s email/password to your preferred one. If you need help, please email help@wikispaces.com .

    @Lynnette:
    There’s not an easy way beyond copy and paste. If you know a little about computers, you can use WebDAV. If you need more help, please email help@wikispaces.com .
