I am an EFL teacher to speakers of Hebrew at a high school in Israel. I have a wiki space for each of my 6 classes as a supplement to Moodle and ning social network blogging. My students use their wiki pages as electronic notebooks instead of hard copy notebooks. They claim their writing has improved (and the result of their exams confirm it) because they are able to see their errors and the corrected versions side by side due to the highlighted features of wikispaces.

I also use wikispaces to coordinate an online English journal for EFL/ESL teachers called the etnirag. Teachers are able to brainstorm, write articles, and edit collaboratively.

Greetings, my name is Baudelaire13, and I recently opened a space called Beatrix Baudelaire's Gothic Academy. I love roleplaying, so I decided to make and manage a space where I could roleplay with other people.
What is different about my roleplaying, is that when creating a profile, you must be very literate, and not use cyber-slang or slang, unless your character uses the latter in dialogue. Also, your character's(s') name(s) must have something to do with Literature, the Sciences, the Arts; enriching things like that.

The purpose of this Wikispace is to promote more literate roleplaying, and to educate more people about famouse literature figures.

So far, there is only one active member, and she is very enthusiastic! She already made two characters, and frequently submits continuations to the roleplaying post.

I am very set on promoting this space and spreading the word around, so if you'll join, i will be everlastingly grateful. My website is beatrixbaudelairesgothicacademy.wikispaces.com.

By the way, thank you Wikispaces, for creating this network, and my roleplaying name is Beatrix(for Beatrix Potter), and Baudelaire(for Charles Baudelaire.)

Hi, I have just started a site to address the interests of teachers who work in jails and prisons.

"This wiki site has been established to advance the interests of correctional teachers who work jails and prisons or with our high risk population everywhere. It has no political affiliation and no association to any government, university or policy department. It is owned, developed and modified by teachers like you.

The purpose of this forum is to link correctional educators and to advance the interests of teachers, students and our community."

I am keen on promoting the site. thanks for such a great service wikispaces! christoph

Hi, my name is Fe and I am doing this as part of a class activity. I am a teacher who has never used WIKI before but it looks like it is something I would like to incorporate in my classroom and teaching.

Howdy,
My name is Dr. Jesse Reich and I'm pushing the boundaries of teaching with technology in my chemistry class. I've already used this space to add videos, link to my blog, post my assignment, I've used it for a time line project, a PowerPoint project and I'll keep thinking of more stuff to add. It's been a real bonus to my class and I feel I'm helping to build a host of skills for and with my high school sophomores.

I am a principal who thought it was about time that I learned about wikispaces so I could keep up with the kids! One of our Science teachers has created a great space for kids to use to learn more about topics being studied and I wanted to be a part of it!

Hi
I was attending the E-Learning showcase and other workshops sponsored by SITAC and wikispace came into the topic all the time.

In the E-Learning Showcase, we were shown some of the topics discussed or presented on that same day - and it was good to see some of the presentations in our own time and pace (as some of the presentations were a bit fast due to time constraints).

I decided to join wikispaces so I can view some of what happened in the conference and I can see the benefit for myself and my students.

I am using wikispaces to put together a collaborative class notebook for my 8th grade American History class. I have a volunteer each week post the week's notes to the site and an editor check for spelling and grammar errors as well as work on style and format. The note "poster" is also responsible for adding in links to appropriate and pertinent websites that provide additional/background information on the subject material. I have even had kids figure out on their own how to imbed video into our class notebook which is really exciting to me. This is my first year using wikispaces and it has been truly beneficial so far. I would love any comments or suggestions as to how to make my site better. Thanks!

I am running a wiki space for AP Environmental Science teachers around the globe. I am hoping to get other APES educators to contribute links, activities, and labs for other teachers to use. One of the powers of this space is that we can design non-geographically specific labs; have particapting schools carry out these labs and share data from around the world that could be analyzed in class or shared with AP Economic and AP Stats teachers.
