Collaborating And Organizing Across Languages and Tools

Claude Almansi is a long-time Wikispaces user. Her space, “Noi Media” or “We Media,” uses Wikispaces to collaborate with people interested in new media in Italian, English, and German. It also brings together the other tools they use, such as their blog and their podcasts.
Claude pointed us to her space’s lobbying operation for disabled people’s rights in Swiss Copyright Law. Using podcasts and the wiki for translation and transcripts, the page supported the collaboration between a local Italian-language Web accessibility project and a German-language Swiss Internet User Group.
Claude Almansi heard about Wikispaces in November 2005. “I had tried several collaboration spaces before…I wanted a wiki…Wikispaces was very user-friendly, and you accepted translation links on the original help pages. Above all, you are extremely efficient with user questions.”
