Wendy,

You can manage multiple wikispaces with your regular user account. You don't need OpenID.

Email us at help@wikispaces.com and we'll help sort things out for you.

I had created two wikispaces accounts for my two grade levels. It would be easier for me to manage the sites if I could log in to one account and be able to access both sites from there. That is what I thought OpenID would permit me to do. I had no trouble associating the first account with the OpenID I created, but when I tried to associate the second account, I got the message, "The OpenID account you are using is already in use by another associate." So I guess that is the end of the road and I will need to log on to each account separately... is that right? In this case, I don't see where we gain any advantage by using OpenID here. The minimal time saved in not having to enter email address and time zone, etc., during future account creations on other sites is certainly wasted by having to type the longer OpenID name (which is a URL) each time I would log on using OpenID.

My second approach is to setup a program for my Masters study program especially for students with language difficulties i.e. Dyslexia or Aspergus /Autism Syndrome.

This must be as a workshop addressing classroom teachers, assistants, parents. I am keen to do this through I Pod and elearning.

At last I'm in. Last week I was trying to logon at a primary school however the IT terchnition explained at their school their ability to log on at this school may not be possible as their signal limit may not meet the requirement needed to access this. Any comments for this as the students are keen to be involved

Dea,

I would suggest having your students use OpenID if it's important to you that they have common accounts across multiple services.

Bill, beco, and others,

We just added support for associating an existing Wikispaces account with your OpenID. First, log in to Wikispaces normally, with your username and password, then click "My Account" at the top of the page, and look toward the bottom of the page for the "OpenID" section. It will ask you to log in using OpenID and associate the two accounts. After that, you'll be able to log in to your existing Wikispaces account using OpenID.

So, just to get this clear in my head. Because I already have an existing account...I'll stay with that. But, this year as I introduce my wiki and bloggin to my students, I could / should begin them with this openID...and then they won't all be forgetting what ID goes where?

Hi Bill,

We don't have a way to associate existing accounts with OpenID yet. We are planning on adding this in the future, we just have to connect a few things in our login plumbing.

Best,
James

Dear support,

I tried to use my openID instead of my normal ID, but instead of login, wikispaces told me my user-name already exists and could not create it again. I did not remember to click at "create", just sign in. What I did wrong?

Thanks,
Beco.
