Wikispaces Variables
June 22nd, 2007 by Adam
Let’s say you want a line on your Wikispaces page that says:
This page was last updated by adam on Jun 21, 2007 9:05 pm.
Previously every editor would have to remember to update that line every time they edited the page. Not any more! Now all you do is put:
This page was last updated by {$revisioneditor} on {$revisiondate}.
And, voila, you are using the power of Wikispaces variables.
Our variables can generate a whole range of information including the name of your space, the number of times a page has been edited, and how many members are in the space.
When combined with our page template and included pages features, you’ve got a really powerful way to create customized default pages, common headers and footers, and other dynamic pages.
