Best. Wikispaces. Update. Ever.
April 17th, 2007 by Adam
We’ve just released what we think is the biggest and best update to Wikispaces we’ve ever done. We will be detailing some of the most important new feature in blog posts over the next couple of days but here’s a taste of what’s new.
- Custom domains for your wikispace!
- A much friendlier and more powerful subscription system
- A much improved payment system
- Bigger file upload support
- A brand new Super plan!
- New advanced infrastructure for our large partner communities
- More functionality in tables
- Better layout of our editing page
- Protected discussions in protected spaces
- Small usability improvements all over the place
Keep an eye on our blog in the next days and weeks for more detail and for some other really exciting news in the world of Wikispaces.
As always, thank you so much to all of our members, and to everyone who has been so supportive of us to this point. We’re having great fun. Let us know what you think.

[…] Best. Wikispaces. Update. Ever. (Via Wikispaces Blog.) It looks like Wikispaces has made some changes… just in time for my Introduction to Wikis workshop tomorrow. I look forward to learning about all the new changes… and to their future announcements. […]
Is your wiki space 508 compliant? More importantly can users with assistive technology manage and use all the features (both reading and writing) in your wiki space?
Thank you,
James Bailey
Hi James,
We haven’t done any work on 508 compliance. We’d be glad to get advice on how we can make progress in that direction.
Is there a way for a teacher to set up users (students) without having to create whole new user profiles for them? Many students do not have email addresses yet or cannot access them from school. I would like a collaborative workspace for them, but I need a little mroe control in that area of user creation.

Thanks.
Adam - Send me your e-mail (you do have access to my hidden one - right?) and I may be able to help out with AT access issues. - James
Another idea is to set up a wiki on the subject of wiki accessibility. - James
