A Little Extra Protection
April 23rd, 2007 by Adam
Wikispaces, as we’ve discussed recently, come in four different plans: Basic, Plus, Super, and Private Label.
Wikispaces can also be set to one of three privacy types: Public, Protected, or Private.
Public spaces can be viewed by anyone and can also be edited by anyone.
Protected spaces can be viewed by anyone but can only be edited by members of the space.
Private spaces can only be viewed or edited by members of the space.
Wikispaces also have discussion areas attached to each page.
In our recent upgrade we added a little feature that allows you to determine whether to allow discussion messages to be posted by people who aren’t members of your space. This means that your Public, or Protected space can now either be open to comments from the public or not, as you like.

Just one more nugget for our members. Thanks to everyone who requested this feature.

We signed up so fast, we got the public spaces program free but wanted to pay for the private spaces program so our information can only be viewed internally. How do we switch out plans?
THanks
Brad
Brad,
Just go to your space, click Manage Space, then click Subscription. Also, the Members and Permissions link will let you choose Protected or Private for your space.
