wikispaces

The good people over at TeachersFirst have taken their expertise in providing clear, concise and comprehensive guides to web topics for teachers and applied it to wikis. We strongly recommend their new Wiki Walk-Through.

We think it’s a great primer for teachers interested in what wikis are, why they should use them, and how exactly to use them.

I could say more, but one of our members already wrote up a review.

    Hello there Marco.
This is my first dive into a wiki, and I have a lot of expectations about learning how to use a wiki. I’ve read about wikis, but this is the real thing.

We have been collecting resources for wikis in education here:

You may find what your looking for and if not you can ask for help from other teachers.

I am new to this wiki also and would like to learn more about it. Could I implement it into my fourth grade classroom? Marnie

Marnie, sure you could. Check out http://educationalwikis.wikispaces.com/ for some examples and tips as well as some teachers who might have some ideas for you.

I feel like I am way behind the curve. I really need to catch up for my teacher’s and students sakes. I am trying to immerse myself in all of this. All of this is so intriguing!
