Happy Birthday
March 16th, 2006 by James
A year ago this week, we opened the doors of Wikispaces to the world. We started with a simple idea: any group of people, regardless of their technical background, should be able to start their own wiki.
Tens of thousands of members and spaces later, Wikispaces has come a long way. We’re continually amazed at the diversity, dedication, and spirit of cooperation we see from the community every day. From students and teachers to startups to gamers to oenophiles to Linux enthusiasts, groups small and large are finding that easy-to-use wikis are a fantastic way to bring people together.
But like any one-year-old, we’re just getting started. We’re working hard every day to make Wikispaces better, always with an eye towards ease of use. And we need your help - let us know what works for you, what doesn’t, and how we can build the best wiki possible.
Here’s to year two and many more to come.
